The nation’s largest burger chain is popping its consideration to hen sandwiches.
McDonald’s has begun testing a hen sandwich in Houston and Knoxville, Tenn. The strikes comes after Popeyes noticed staggering success with the introduction of its personal hen sandwich and continued gross sales development at Chick-fil-A.
McDonald’s has confronted substantial criticism from its franchisees for failing to have a hen sandwich providing as Chick-fil-A grew. Whereas McDonald’s has provided the McChicken sandwich for an extended whereas, it was not seen as a viable competitor. The model’s Rooster McNuggets have been a well-liked menu staple for many years.
The chain introduced the trial through a Tweet Sunday afternoon. It’s, in actual fact, rolling out two variations of the sandwich. The Crispy Rooster Sandwich, it says, is topped with butter and crinkle minimize dill pickles whereas the Deluxe Rooster Sandwich is topped with tomatoes, lettuce, and mayo. McDonald’s entry available in the market comes roughly a month after Popeyes resumed gross sales of its hen sandwich, which proved so fashionable at its launch that the corporate it offered out of its whole two-month stock in simply two weeks.
